It’s important to know that this information is subject to change, and it’s always a good idea to check the latest guidelines from the National Health Service (NHS) in the UK for up-to-date information on COVID-19 vaccine eligibility criteria.

An NHS prescription is a written order from an NHS doctor, dentist, or other healthcare professional for medication or other treatment that is given by a pharmacist. It includes information such as the patient’s name, the medication name, dosage, and special instructions.

NHS prescriptions for eligible patients are generally free of charge in the United Kingdom. However, some patients may need to pay a prescription charge of £9.35 per item if they are not eligible for free NHS prescriptions. Exceptions and exemptions to this fee include patients under the age of 16, those over the age of 60, and pregnant women, among others.

The flu, also known as influenza, is a highly contagious respiratory illness caused by the influenza virus. It is characterized by symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body or muscle aches, headache, fatigue, and sometimes vomiting and diarrhea, especially in children.

The flu can range from mild to severe, and in some cases can lead to serious complications, such as pneumonia, especially in people with weakened immune systems, the elderly, and young children. It is important to get a flu shot every year, practice good hygiene, and take antiviral medications if prescribed by a doctor to prevent and treat the flu.
